Something to look forward to
Hubby and me had a discussion last night and it had me thinking...On May 24th we shall have been married for FIVE WHOLE YEARS. Now we both knew we should do something special but as always there's not a lot of money in the pot.
Now finances are on the up a little, we are pondering what to do and Hubby had the loveliest idea...
We're going to use our Tesco Clubcard points towards an exciting and romantic getaway in London for 2 nights. We were hoping to make it in May but as it's kinda short notice there's a lack of double rooms in the hotel we've chosen.
So instead of May we've decided to go in August.
That's means I have something in June to really look forward to AND something rather nice in August as well. :)
Hubby said "I just need to get away with you" and I know exactly what he means. Having kids means not much time or spenditure for play time for us and it does get us down sometimes.
Me being me, who's always looking forward to the next nice thing said "Wouldn't it be nice (after sorting out the overdraft problem and save a bit also) to go away next year 2009 on TWO abroad holidays?" Forget spending loads on Christmas and our birthdays and try and get us and these kids a bit more travelled.
Dave's told me not to think too far ahead as who knows what's round the corner, but agreed it could be possible if things keep going this way.
I need to keep thinking about getting away at the moment. Life round here is getting a little samey.
