I think if the schools really have to close due to bad weather, then today was one of those days. I think getting in yesterday maybe have been possible, but today was so dangerous. I nearly skidded down a sloping path into a main and busy road. I could have been under a bus! Another near-miss, walking hand in hand with my daughter, we both nearly went down on the ice when Bel slipped. Luckily the evil stuff is slowly melting away, though it's not very comforting hearing more snow forecast.

Last night driving to work wasn't all that bad. Yes I went slow but as it was slushy it wasn't too slidey, but tonight I'll be even more cautious.

I've got a minor gripe at work with a Polish colleague. Nothing I'll lose sleep over but it's something that's pissed me off. She is supposedly in charge of the office we clean but she is in no means my boss/supervisor/or whatever. Now she has the arse because the proper supervisor rather deals with me than her, I guess it's down to my English being slightly better than hers. I think she's going to raise the issue with Linds tomorrow. I don't care though, I do my job, turn up every night and I do what I'm asked.

To end on something nice, I've a meal out on Thursday night. It's with Hubby and a work friend of his. He's a big customer of the firm he works for and he's in town and asked whether we'd like to join him for meal and drinks at an out-of-town pub. I've been told the conversation won't be all work, work, work. I don't mind, it's just nice getting out. :)
